Training

Our club is very informal and the emphasis is on fun whilst staying (or getting) fit. You can decide how hard and how often you want to train, and you will find many experienced club members willing to help with advice and suggestions if you want them. Don't be put off if you're not very good at one of the sports as it's never too late to learn.
One of the benefits of joining the club is finding another member at who can swim, bike, run at the same or better letter level than yourself and improve with them!
The general club training program is as follows. Many club members train at one or two sessions, some train at most sessions and some train at non at all. What you get out of the club will depend on what you put in, and how much you get involved.
Monday: Swim session
Sessions based at Hatfield Sports Village, 2 sessions:
1. Improvers/intermediate 7.30-8.15pm
2. Intermediate/fast 8.15-9.00pm
Please try to ensure you get the right group, as it makes it more enjoyable for everybody
£1 charge on entry, CLOSED Bank holidays.
Tuesday: Run session, Circuits
Many of our members do the St. Albans Striders Session 19.00pm Westminster Lodge Running Track or check the Forum for any other training
During the winter, there is also a circuits class at the Univeristy of Herts, Hatfield, starting at 8.30pm
Wednesday: Bike session
Cycling time trials May-Sept, Colney Heath, See forum for updates on times;
Spin session during the winter and summer, Spinning returns as of Wednesday 4th May at 8pm at Fitness First in St Albans (in Christopher Place above Waggamamas and Carluccio's. Post Code is AL3 5DQ).
The spinning studio is located right down the back of the gym in a room off the back weights area. There will be a small charge of £2 which needs to be paid to Tim at the beginning of the session - please do not pay the reception desk.
When you turn up to the reception just tell them you are there for the Tri Force Spin session and they should let you in.
Parking is available in the Christopher Place parking building and if you take your parking ticket with you to the gym they will validate it as you leave which gives gym users an hours free parking.
Thursday: Coached swim session Cannons (Nuffiield) Health Club, Highfield Park Drive, St.Albans. 20.30-21.30pm all year round
Two sessions, start time:
1. Improvers/intermediate 7.30-8.30pm
2. Intermediate/fast 8.30-9.30pm

Friday:
Saturday: Open water swimming (May-Sept.); early morning cycle rides and runs all year round.See Forum.
